J. Patrick Miller is the senior pastor and founder of Beulah Temple Ministries, a growing congregation in Valdosta, Ga. He is the Chairman of the Georgia State Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, and senior district elder for the West Georgia region. He is the lead chaplain and Director of Pastoral Care for Valdosta State Prison and Annex, as well as Valdosta Transitional Center, and Patten Probation and Detention Center. He is responsible for the spiritual care of approximately 20,000 people, including inmates in close and medium security environments, and nearly 1,000 staff members, volunteers, and their families. He is also a volunteer chaplain for South Georgia Medical Center. He was baptized in Jesus’Name and filled with the Holy Ghost at God’s House Church in Albuquerque, NM, January 1, 1977. A native of McDonough, Ga., he is a highly-decorated 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He has pastored in Tucson, AR., Madrid, Spain, Valdosta, Ga., and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While in Saudi Arabia, he served on the staff of Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf, during the 1991 Gulf War. He is an accomplished gospel musician and has toured extensively across the United States, Europe, the Republic of Panama and Honduras. He is a conference speaker, lecturer, writer, workshop facilitator and pastor to pastors around the country. He is a graduate of Henry County Senior High School, the Community College of the Air Force (AAS in Public Information), and Valdosta State University (BGS in Human Resources Management). He has done graduate work at the University of Oklahoma’s School of Communication. The Pentecostal Bible Institute, Tuskegee, Ala., conferred an honorary Doctorate of Theology upon him for international mission work and research. He has earned Level I Certification in Clinical Pastoral Education through the Georgia Baptist Verdery Center for Pastoral Care and Counseling. He produces a daily radio broadcast on a local station, reaching thousands of listeners in the South Georgia-North Florida area. He’s an avid antique car buff and collector. He loves music and playing racquetball. Pastor Miller is the son of the Rev. James H. Miller and the late Lady Bessie Miller, and is married to the former Barbara Browning. They have one son, James Q. Miller, who is also in ministry.
